There are a lot more newspapers & magazines online out there then what I have listed below. I could just make a whole site dedicated to newspapers & magazines online, but these are some of my favorite ones I do a daily visits too. If you know of any that I should add to my list let me know....

TV SCHLOCK

OK, I admit it, I'm a slave to the Boob Tube ... Here are some my favorite TV show links....

  • Jumping the Shark - Find out when your favorite TV show went down the tubes. Hence "Jumping the Shark".
  • The Sopranos - The Official HBO website dedicated to the best TV Drama. This past season was kind of slow, hopefully we won't have to wait till 2004 for the next seaon. WARNING - Site Has Strong Language, and Some Violent Content, Just Like the Show
  • Trading Spaces- Ok, my one guilty pleasure in life. Maybe I have a dream inside my head to be a interior decorator, or it just hit's my sadistic side which just likes looking at the peoples reactions when they see how there neighbors have changed their room.
  • 24 - The second season is here. A little slow to start this year but still love the split screen and the real time action. Each episode is actually one hour in a 24 hour day. The only problem is if you miss an episode your completely lost.
  • Sesame Street - Jim Henson's Children show that has seemed to grow a life of it's own. A really fun interactive website featuring all your favorite muppets.
  • The Jim Henson Company - Have you wanted to be a Muppeteer, controlling Kermit and friends. Well NOW's your chance.
  • Bear in the Big Blue House - One of William's Favorite show's featuring a 7 ft. tall bear and all his furry friends.
  • Nick Jr. - Another of William's sites. Is the home of Blue's Clues and Dora the Explorer. Great Interactive and fun learning site for kids.
  • Bob The Builder - Can we Fix It? YES WE CAN!!! A great interactive web site full of games featuring Bob and all his friends.
  • Playhouse Disney - Have fun, play games, do activities. Learn lots of neat stuff about all your Disney Channel favorites.
  • Star Trek - The actual home page that boldly goes where no one has gone before
  • UCIP Internet - Always wanted to be a crew member of a ship in the Star Trek universe. Well now's your chance
  • Trek Web - A great resource for the total Trek Fan
  • Red Dwarf - The official Red Dwarf Homepage (NOTE - Has not been updated in a bit of time, but the Red Dwarf movie is still coming).
  • Doctor Who: The Official Site - The BBC's Official Doctor Who site is what all fans of our favorite time lord is looking for. They even have a brand Radio adventure online featuring Sylvester McCoy as the 7th Doctor.
  • The Simpsons - The Official Web Site of our favorite squash colored family from the city of Springfield.
  • The Simpsons Archive - Everything you wanted to know about the Simpsons, heck this site even has the floor plan to Marge and Homers house.

MOVIES & RELATED ITEMS

OK another one of my vices is my love for the Cinema. I could spend all my free time watching movies and very happy. Here are some of the better links that I have found.....

  • Movie Web - See previews from all your favorite movies on-line.
  • The Internet Movie Database - Search for information on any movie your heart desires.
  • Disney - One of my true love's in life is an animated movie, and Disney is my favorite out of all the studios. Check out this interactive web site for one of the best of the web.
  • Star Wars - The official Star Wars site. Nuff Said.
  • Wonka - Enter the Wild World of Willie Wonka. Great site for kids, and kids at heart.
  • View Askew - This is the site put on by Kevin Smiths production company, get all the info on all of his films (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob - Strike Back), and memorabilia.
  • The Astounding B Monster - A great site dedicated to All those scary 1950's & 60's monsters. (Sorry William Shatner's tope is not included).
  • Oh, the Humanity! - Home of Worst Movies on the face of the Earth.
  • Rocky Horror Picture Show - The official site dedicated to the "King" of the Midnight Movies.

MUSIC & RADIO

More then my love of TV is my love of Music & Radio. It's always been a love of mine since I was a kid, pretending to be a radio DJ

  • Lime Wire - A great site to get all your favorite songs, but of course we here at Fabersplace don't recommended that anyone re-sells downloaded music. That's a no-no.
  • Radio Paradise - A great ecclectic radio station from California in which you never know what song will be coming next.
  • Margaritaville - Yes my Parrot Head friends, Jimmy Buffett has a whole online community set up, including a great online radio station. A must try.
  • NPR - National Public Radio's little Ol' web-page
  • Car Talk - Yes it's the interactive web page from Click & Clack - Tom & Ray the Tappet Brothers. Great site to get help on that nagging car problem.
  • WHFS 99.1 - One of the best New Music Stations in the Country. Not as good as it used to be, but hey what ever is?
  • 98 Rock Baltimore - A little radio station in Baltimore, that I had my first internship at. Still, the station has two of the best DJ's in Kurt Mcewen, and Sara Fletcher
  • The Mountain - My favorite radio station in Seattle, great mix of Old, new... but not the best of the 70's, 80's, & 90's
  • The DailyFeed - A daily dose of news and information from yet another editor of the DailyFeed
  • The BareNaked Ladies - Canada's favorite querky five some who brought you song's like "If I had a Million Dollars", "Brian Wilson", "Thee Day's" & "It's All Been Done".
  • Grateful Dead.com - Jerry might be gone, but the legend never dies.
  • Official Phish Web Site - The official web-page for all you Phish Heads out there
  • Dave Mathews Band - Wonderful & thorough official home page for my favorite band of all time. You can even order tickets for upcoming shows here.
  • The Dudley Manlove Quartet - A fun lounge cover band playing all your favorite's from the 70's, 80's & 90's. Playing songs from an era in radio so bad, but you sadly know all the words to.
  • Great Big Sea - The official web site of a great band from Newfoundland. Very much worth a visit and a listen.
  • Donna the Buffallo - A eccletic band that mixes country, blues and folk music. Great band, worth seeing when they come to your town.
  • The Official Weird Al Page - A great web site dedicated to Weird Al, very thorough for the total Al fan.
  • The Official Dr. Demento Web-Page - The Official Dr. Demento Web-Page

  • Version Tracker - A great place for the newist software Software dowloads. (Mac & PC)
  • Shareware.com - Another thorough shareware for both PC's & Mac's
  • CNet - All the newiest high tech news available to mankind.
  • Macfix It - A great page to find out what's been ailing your Mac
  • MaCNN - All the Macintosh news that's fit to print
  • Mac Addict - One of the better magazines dedicated to the Macintosh and all their fans.

All right now, I do admit it, I am a giant sports fan. My two favorite teams are the Seattle Mariners (Baseball), and the Washington Redskins (Football)... Here are some of my favorite sport links enjoy...

  • CBS Sports - Great sports news, see your favorite sports live on the net.
  • ESPN - The name says it all. One of the true leaders in sports news.
  • CNN Sports Illustrated - Another web page dedicated to the news sports world. Worth taking a look at.
  • Mariners Home Page - The home page of the Pacific Northwest's favorite team. You got to love these guys. Just completely remodeled, and you can see live images from the creating of Safeco Field
  • The Baltimore Orioles - Got to luv them O's, Hon. My original team of Dreams
  • Major League Baseball - Want to find your favorite Baseball team or your favoirte player's stat? This is the place.
  • MLB Hall of Fame - The official site of MLB hall of fame
  • The Washington Redskins - The "Nations" Capitals football franchise, the only team I could root for. Sorry, Falcon's fans

ON-LINE SHOPPING & TRAVEL

OK yes I know I probably won't even touch on some of your favorite shopping sites, but there are so many out there now, it would take about 50 web sites to fill them all, here are a FEW of my favorites.

  • Slick Deals - This site posts daily deals from reputable online retailers. Sometimes a little to computer based, but still can find some great deals.
  • Amazon.com - Yes the galaxy's largest web site is quite that, an incredible site to find any book, movie, power tool, toy, or CD in print, at a decent price too.
  • Powells World of Books - This is the store Amazon.com wants to be. Yes folks it Powells World of Books, Portland's Most incredible site, a bookstore (new & used books) that is literally a whole city block (not to mention the many smaller sub-stores around town). A must visit site.
  • Outpost.com - One of the best sites to buy almost anything online, and best of all overnight shipping is CHEAP!!!!!
  • mySimon - If your like me you always wonder "Am I getting the best price for this product?" Well this is the site that will compare the prices from the major online retailers, and even e-mail you when a cheaper price is available.
  • BMG Music - A great site for all your favorite CD's or cassettes. A lot of times cheaper then your average music store.
  • Columbia House - New and improved cd club. No longer will you need to reply to monthly cards or be forced to buy something you don't want. You can get 12 CD's for free and all you need is to buy six CD's within two years. Give it a try.
  • Airline Toll Free Numbers & Links - The name says it all.
  • Best Fares.com - A great discount travel agent online.
  • Cheap Tickets - Another great travel site. Great also for weekly specials. A must see.
  • Travelocity - Check this site out for a extremely thorough travel selection, and great package tours.
  • Expedia - A fantastic travel booking web site that has an extreamly flexible user interface for all your travel needs.
  • Orbitz - A travel site put together by the airline industry, you will be able to see all the compaired flight prices per airline for your schedule.
  • Starbucks - Hey, they are on every corner so now they are on your Desktop
  • Seattle's Best Coffee - One of the finest coffee chains in Seattle.
  • Tullys Coffee - Home of America's Finest Gourmet Coffee.
  • Caribou Cofee - This great coffee shop is starting to make it's way into my heart.

  • Jack Cooper's Celebrity Deli - Finally a deli that will deliver to Seattle, I was going into withdrawal for good Matzo Ball Soup. (Which is non existent in Seattle).
  • Kosher Nosh Deli - Another great deli that will deliver all your favorites to your doorstep.
  • Jerry's Famous Deli - My favorite deli from the time when I was living in Los Angeles. Was a great place to get Matzo Ball soup at 3am. Another great thing was that they also deliver locally.
  • Jewish Links - A lot of links for all good Jewish boys and girls. Boy and you thought I had a lot of links.
  • Judaism Resources - Judaism related news, books and web resources.

  • Odd Todd - A fantastic site put together by a laid off dot comer, this site hits a little to close to home after what I went through for the past year. Be sure to check all the links on the site, very funny.
  • Puppetry of the Penis - When I was I was in Australia I was fortunite enough to see this due perform thier show for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. They are currently touring the world. If you get a chance to see them I highly reccomend it. *WARNING* Not for the faint of heart.
